The THRIVE Resolution (H. Res. 104) is gathering momentum in the House! It’s a resolution that incorporates the THRIVE Agenda, the progressive framework for economic recovery that acknowledges we are facing intersecting crises of the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, racial injustice, public health, and economic injustice.

So far, 51 House members have signed on as co-sponsors of these comprehensive, intersectional reforms—but ours aren’t yet among them. Rep. Speier co-sponsored the THRIVE Resolution last year, but she hasn’t signed on to it yet this year. Speaker Pelosi does not generally co-sponsor legislation, but we want her to speak out in support of it. So it’s time for us to demand that our Members of Congress step up in support of the resolution.

THRIVE’s top priorities are our families and communities who share the dream of a good life: free from worry about meeting basic needs, with reliable and fulfilling work, and a dignified and healthy standard of living.

The THRIVE Agenda includes the following eight pillars:
  • Create millions of good, safe jobs.
  • Build worker power to fight inequality.
  • Invest in Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities to counteract  racial and gender injustice and build the power that they deserve.
  • Strengthen and heal America’s relationship with Indigenous nations.
  • Combat environmental injustice and ensure healthy lives for all.
  • Avert climate and environmental catastrophe.
  • Ensure fairness for working people and communities, particularly in industries and regions in economic transition or crisis due to COVID-19, climate change, and other economic shocks and shifts.
  • Reinvest in the public sector and establish public institutions that serve the American people.
Call your Members of Congress and tell them to support the THRIVE Resolution.

ISF Spotlight: Fighting to end the filibuster

On Monday, members of Indivisible SF and other Indivisible chapters rallied at Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s local offices around the state to support the For the People Act. At her SF office, members of Bay Area chapters were greeted outside by her state director, Jim Lazarus, who affirmed her commitment to pass the bill “with 50 Democratic votes and the Vice President.”
