The $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan that was passed by Congress and signed into law by President Biden in early March 2021 contains substantial increases to food assistance programs and the child tax credit, which will cut child poverty in half. We need Congress to make these policy changes permanent so that hunger and poverty can continue to decrease in the long-term.
