I'm so glad you're here because I want to talk to you about recess:

The playground is where both the best and worst parts of the school day can happen—fights and friendships, conflict and cooperation, good sportsmanship and sore losing.

At Playworks, we've been working with elementary school
parents, teachers, and principals for more than 20 years, and if there's one thing we've learned, it's that recess is the heart of every school.

With Recess Lab, we're opening up our playbook so schools can use the power of play to help kids grow—as students, as individuals, and as leaders.

We've set an ambitious goal of reaching 1 million students
by the end of this school year. To get there, we all have a role to play.
