As of a couple weeks ago, due to the recent passage of the American Rescue Plan, you can get $3,600/year for kids 0-5 and $3,000/year for kids 6-17, through the updated Child Tax Credit… EVEN IF YOU AREN’T EARNING ANY INCOME. *But you have to file taxes this year even if you didn’t make any income in order to get this new cash support.
