Spring brings with it a feeling of growth and renewal, and that’s just how we are operating this month at Fulfillment Fund. Much like our students, we have a lot of wonderful projects that are ready to bloom.
In anticipation of Decision Day, which we will celebrate at the end of this month, high school seniors in our College Access Program are beginning to get their college acceptance letters. Our counselors are working closely with students to weigh their options and assess which school will ultimately be the best fit for them.
For lower classmen in our College Access Program, we are launching a new Career Speaker Series with our partners at the Robert F. Kennedy (RFK) Community Schools to inspire students to explore potential career paths. We count on the support of our generous volunteers, who jumped at the opportunity to talk to our students and tell them about their jobs and journeys to get there. Our presenters come from diverse professional backgrounds, ranging from attorneys to filmmakers, medical researchers, and more.
Also this month, students in our College Success Program are applying for internships, with many partners offering exclusive opportunities to Fulfillment Fund students. They too represent a variety of industries from multinational accounting firms to local marketing agencies.
We couldn’t be more excited for our students at this important time during their educational careers. With our high school students making decisions about their future and what college they will attend, and high school and college graduations just around the corner, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate their accomplishments. On May 21st, Fulfillment Fund will bring our community together to host the happiest of hours — our Sip & Celebrate virtual gathering. We hope you will join us! Stay tuned for more information and our special guest announcement.
