Planned Parenthood’s annual report just came out, and it’s heartbreaking…

Dear John,

A few weeks ago, Planned Parenthood – the nation’s largest abortion provider – released their most recent annual report. From the first page, the report is filled with the same falsehoods and lies that the abortion industry has been selling to our culture for decades.

They include quotes with women talking about having “control” over their own bodies. They refer to abortion as “essential health care,” while we know it is the intentional killing of a preborn child. They denounce “extreme, unnecessary state and federal bans and other restrictions on abortion.”

This comes after their president, Alexis McGill Johnson, made headlines in December when she said, “It’s really not a big deal that Planned Parenthood [provides abortions]. We are a proud abortion provider.”

Later in the report, they reveal that Planned Parenthood affiliates performed over 354,000 abortions between October 1, 2018 and September 30, 2019 – which is the highest number they have ever recorded.

That’s 354,000 children who will never have a chance at life outside the womb – all because of one organization’s actions.

It’s a heartbreaking reality to reflect on. And it’s clear that our culture is increasingly buying into the lies from the abortion industry. As a result, generations of children are being lost, and families are being left to deal with the long-term impact and regret of their decision.

Here’s just one example of the type of lasting effects abortion can have on families:

“To my son,

“I have regretted my decision for almost 36 years. I was 11 weeks in, but only thought it was about 8 weeks. When the doctor told me it had been a boy, the enormity of what I had done was stunning.

“The regret has deepened over the years.

“How I wish someone had offered me an ultrasound. I never would have let you go, my precious boy…”

Anonymous post on AbortionMemorial.com entitled, “No, it wasn’t just a clump of cells. They lied.”

Abortion Date: 1986

Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry make their living on falsehoods. In fact, their lies are so lucrative that they were handed over $618 million in taxpayer funds in the last fiscal year and operate on a budget of over $1.6 billion annually.

In Ephesians 4:25, the Bible has this calling for us: “So then, putting away falsehood, let all of us speak the truth to our neighbors, for we are members of one another.”

That means as Christians, we are called to speak the truth to our families, our churches, and our communities.

The truth is that preborn children are human beings made in the image of God with extraordinary value.

The truth is that the abortion industry misleads women and masks the facts of pregnancy and abortion.

The truth is that abortion regret is real and can impact families for the rest of their lives.

The killing of over 354,000 preborn children may not be a big deal to Planned Parenthood – but it should be a big deal to us.

That’s why today, I want to challenge you to follow the calling in Ephesians and boldly speak the truth in grace and love. Changing our culture into one that recognizes the value of preborn children starts with simple conversations. It starts with sharing biblical truth about the dignity of life. It starts with sharing the truth about pregnancy and abortion. And it starts with being there for women in their greatest time of need.

Thank you for your partnership in this mission and commitment to protecting preborn children and their families. God bless you!

For Life,

Jeff Bradford
President
