Hi John,

According to The New York Times, “Representative Matt Gaetz, Republican of Florida and a close ally of former President Donald J. Trump, is being investigated by the Justice Department over whether he had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old and paid for her to travel with him.”

Gaetz is already claiming the allegations against him are part of a “complex extortion plot” from the Justice Department. But even Tucker Carlson wasn't buying it, stopping Gaetz mid-interview to say: “Again, for the fifth time, I don't really understand this story very well.”

Democrats are now calling for Gaetz to be removed from the House Judiciary Committee -- because someone under investigation for sex trafficking should not have any amount of power in our government, but Gaetz especially shouldn't be overseeing the Department of Justice when that department is investigating him.

We agree with Democratic leaders that Gaetz should have his committee role revoked. But Gaetz's loyalty to Trump has made him one of the most powerful Republicans in the House, so before Democrats take any action, we need to know if the American people are behind us. Please, tell us where you stand now:

Should Matt Gaetz be removed from the House Judiciary Committee?

YES   NO

Thank you for making your voice heard.
