Dear Friend,
Earlier this month, President Joe Biden and Democrats and Congress passed the historic American Rescue Plan, getting direct relief to millions of Americans struggling because of the pandemic.
The ARP is the most significant and progressive package signed by the President in modern history--but the ideas behind President Biden’s plan are simple: Checks in pockets. Shots in arms. Kids in schools. People in jobs.
Folks here in Massachusetts are already seeing the impact of Democratic leadership and letting their friends, family, and neighbors know about the American Rescue Plan and its benefits. Letters to the editor are a great way to start spreading our message, and can help reach folks that aren’t in your regular circles.
Help Democrats get the word out about the ARP by writing a letter to the editor! Recently, DSC member Lee Harrison wrote a letter to the editor of the Berkshire Eagle highlighting the ARP. In addition to our Massachusetts ARP toolkit and the guidebook from the DNC, the Rural Affairs Subcommittee put together sample letters to guide folks through writing letters of their own.
If you write a letter or have a letter published, let us know. Letter should be short--less than 200 words--and talk about what you know and your own experience. So, this is a quick way to amplify our message, build our coalition, and strengthen our party.
