In Memoriam: Bernardine M. Lacey, 1932&ndash;2021
Nursing leader Bernardine M. Lacey, EdD, RN, FAAN, died on March 26, leaving a legacy of accomplishments, and barriers broken. The Maryland Nurses Association notes: &ldquo;Her reputation as a nurse and nurse educator is unmatched in the nursing profession.&rdquo; Dr. Lacey was an American Academy of Nursing Living Legend and supporter of the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action mentoring program with historically black colleges and universities.

Campaign Names New Co-Chair for Equity, Diversity Committee
The medical director of Hope Community Clinic in New Orleans is now helping guide the Campaign for Action&rsquo;s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Steering Committee. Scharmaine Lawson, DNP, FAANP, FAAN, will co-chair with Eric J. Williams, DNP, RN, FAAN, as former co-chair Carmen Alvarez, PhD, CRNP, FAAN, steps down.

2021 County Health Rankings Reviews U.S. Neighborhoods
The latest County Health Rankings & Roadmaps is out&mdash;and what a year it has measured. &ldquo;While the Rankings do not measure COVID-19 risk,&rdquo; says the announcement for the 2021 findings, &ldquo;they do help to show the root causes that contribute to poor health.&rdquo; The findings are searchable by ZIP codes and myriad health factors, and show how residents can help improve their neighborhoods.
