All across the country, Republicans are racing to see who can pass the most dramatic voter suppression laws. And Georgia is in the lead.

Republicans saw that when Democrats are motivated and turn out, we can turn any state blue. And they're scared.

That's why Governor Brian Kemp (who's only in power because he suppressed the vote to defeat Stacey Abrams in 2018) just signed an extremely restrictive voter suppression law specifically targeting voters of color:

+ The window to request absentee ballots has been cut by more than half
+ New restrictions are in place for requesting an absentee ballot, and the process requires state-issued identification
+ Sunday voting is now optional, which disproportionately impacts communities of color and “Souls to the Polls” organizing
+ It's now illegal to give food or water to those waiting in line to vote -- even when the lines are hours-long like in 2020
