Our platform for progress in North Carolina is facing our biggest challenge yet: The establishment.
Today, D.C.-insider news media The Hill reported that one of Erica's white male primary opponents brought in a massive haul of $1.3 million this past quarter.
While we blew past our fundraising goal last quarter, this means that our grassroots campaign was outraised in the first quarter of one of the *most competitive* Senate primaries.
If we want to keep growing our moral movement to elect Erica then our fundraising needs to pick up. An important part of that is people like you donating to emails like this one.
We have to ask:
Erica is the only candidate in this primary who has a platform for progress that includes Medicare for All and a Green New Deal. She's the only candidate who will truly be a Senator for *all* North Carolinians.
On Team Erica, we believe that primaries should be determined by North Carolina voters, not the D.C. establishment that prioritizes recruiting moderate white men to run for office. Campaigns like ours face an uphill battle. Gaining momentum during this early period is *so* critical.
When we all chip in what we can, we'll demonstrate the strength of our platform for progress. And if we push hard in this quarter, we might just end up outraising our establishment primary opponents.
Let's show them what we've got.
Thanks,
Erica Smith HQ
