Look, we don’t want to toot our own horn, but the answer is pretty simple — Michael Bennet.

You see, Michael fought tooth and nail to make sure President Biden’s American Rescue Plan included his proposal to expand the Child Tax Credit.

Long story short — he was successful. Now parents receive more direct money for their children and the country is on track to cut child poverty in half.

That’s a big deal. Nearly 1 in 7 kids live in poverty. And the research is clear: when children live in poverty, it can affect them for a lifetime. Things like education opportunities, mental and physical health, and future wages get put on the chopping block.
