John, last Friday, Major League Baseball announced that it would be moving its All-Star Game and the MLB draft away from Atlanta, Georgia after the passage of Republican Governor Brian Kemp’s Election Integrity Act.
The GOP Law:
Creates strider voter ID requirements
Limits early voting
Eliminates most ballot dropboxes
All of these restrictions disproportionately impact Black and other voters of color. Black voters have more power than ever before, and that is exactly what Georgia Republicans are scared of.
Former Senator Kelly Loeffler decided to attack the MLB and defend the racist voter suppression bill saying:
“It’s extremely unfortunate that the MLB has fallen into the woke, misinformation campaign being spread by Democrats,”
