It's National Public Health Week and tomorrow is World Health Day! Thank you to all the health care workers, first responders, and essential workers who are working to keep us safe -- many of whom have been on the frontlines of this pandemic since day one.

One of the best ways we can crush this virus once and for all is by getting vaccinated as soon as possible. On March 31, Washington State entered Phase 1B (tier 3 and 4) of vaccine eligibility. This phase includes:

- People 16 years or older with two or more comorbidities or underlying conditions

- People 60 years and older

- People, staff, and volunteers in certain congregate living settings

- Other at-risk critical workers, specifically restaurants/food services, manufacturing, and construction

If any of the above applies to you, you can get vaccinated, friend! And on April 15, all Washington residents 16 and older will be eligible. If you live in Washington State and are eligible for the vaccine, go here to find a vaccine site near you.

Derek's number-one priority is the health and safety of families in our region, and he's proud to be a part of the effort to get things back on track.

He helped pass the American Rescue Plan through the House which provided $20 billion toward a national vaccination program. He also worked to expand vaccine distribution to at-risk and underserved communities, securing over $15 million in funding for three Community Health Centers in our region.

We can ALL play an important role in defeating COVID-19 by getting vaccinated and continuing to practice social distancing, friend. Thank you for reading, and please continue to take care of yourselves and one another.
