Justice Democrats

John,

Odessa Kelly, our newest Justice Democrat running for Congress, is ready to run a strong, progressive, bold campaign in Nashville. After launching her campaign yesterday, Odessa has already raised $96,161. We need to get her to $100,000 before midnight.

Only in recent years have we seen this kind of incredible grassroots support for insurgent progressives running for office. The financial support, energy, and media attention for Odessa are critical early on so she can build a campaign ready to unseat a 35+ year corporate-backed incumbent.

Collectively, we recruited, supported, and helped elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in 2018 and Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman in 2020. Now, we need your help to elect Odessa Kelly. Can you help Odessa get to $100,000 before midnight with a donation? All contributions go directly to Odessa’s campaign!

Odessa is a longtime public servant and co-founder of Stand Up Nashville, an organization fighting for racial and economic justice. Odessa states her mission clearly: “I’m running to give voice and power to those who have been neglected by the status quo.”

Odessa is running to upend the status quo. She’s challenging corporate Democrat Jim Cooper who takes hundreds of thousands of dollars from corporate PACs — the very same corporate PACs that want to block Medicare for All and a Green New Deal. He’s out-of-touch and has spent decades in office dragging his feet on policies that would help working people. Odessa will champion those policies and fight for the people.

If we can raise just $3,839 more before midnight, Odessa will get even more attention from reporters and future volunteers, and will be ready to win this primary. Can you donate $3 directly to Odessa’s campaign now?
