Hey team,

I’m still blown away that we crushed our $1.7 million end-of-quarter goal. By the time our deadline passed at 11:59 p.m. on Monday night, we had actually raised a total of $2,159,165.34 from more than 46,000 donations. That’s just incredible.

In related news, I’m a vegan now (at least for the month of October). I said I would do it if we hit $2 million and our staff challenge fundraising goal -- and we did both. Breakfast for me this morning was a bowl of fruit. I’m a man of my word.

Here’s your quick weekly update as we head into Q4:

We hit our end-of-quarter goal!
Again, team, I can’t emphasize how big of a deal this is. Q3 was the biggest fundraising quarter for the campaign ever. More than half of the individuals who stepped up to support Cory during our end-of-quarter push were first-time donors to the campaign. Share the good news that we hit our goal.

The era of radical transparency.
When we announced our end-of-quarter goal, we did something no other campaign has done before. We embraced radical transparency. We’ve raised the standard for openness with you and each member of this team about our finances and what we needed to remain viable in this election. Every update we provided during our push to $1.7 million reflected our actual numbers in real-time. Read my memo for a deeper dive into our fundraising and the state of the race.

Growing our campaign.
In the coming weeks, we’re using our new resources to expand our campaign and put ourselves in the best position to win. We’re hiring 40 new staff over the next six weeks, opening new field offices in the early states, launching our ballot access program, and investing in building our email list. Our ability to make these investments is all thanks to supporters like you.

Our fundraising goal for October.
Yesterday, we announced that our fundraising goal for the month of October is $3 million. This is the amount we’re projecting we’ll need to fully fund our growth plans in the weeks ahead. I know we just successfully reach a major goal, but we can’t take a break now. We have to keep going to stay on pace in this race. If you’re able to help us hit our October goal, chip in here.
