Jack xxxxxx, if you’re as upset as I am about HEB sponsoring the politicians trying to suppress our votes, can you give them a call today?
Right now Gov. Greg Abbott and Republicans in the Texas Legislature are pushing forward bills that would cut off evening voting, put barriers to offering rides to the polls, make it harder to drop off ballots, purge registered voters from the rolls, and more.
It’s a blatant power-grab fueled by conspiracy theories and partisan politics - and HEB’s owner and CEO has given over $350,000 to the politicians supporting it. Can you call them to tell them how you feel?
Here’s the number to use: 1-800-432-3113
When you call, please be polite, but firm. Here’s what you can say:
“As a regular HEB shopper, I wanted to let you know that I am disgusted with your owner and CEO’s support of politicians that are suppressing our right to vote. Please stop funding politicians that are attacking our rights!”
Texans should be able to go to their favorite grocery store without worrying about supporting politicians that violate our right to vote. HEB does many good things for Texans, which is why this is so disappointing.
We want HEB to keep doing better. Thanks for making a call,
Zack
