Years of neglect, underfunding and using the USPS as a political bargaining chip have pushed this vital public service to a breaking point - and obstructionist Republicans have repeatedly refused to provide much-needed support.

From critical medications to Social Security benefits to other essential needs, the USPS is a vital lifeline for many Americans, but on-time deliveries have plummeted across the nation.

Now, Trump's megadonor postmaster general wants to further slow mail delivery, reduce post office hours and increase prices. This is in direct opposition to what Americans want and need in the middle of a pandemic.
