Ireland's new youth delegates to the UN Valery and Jack will address the UN Third Committee on behalf of Ireland
** Hi John,
------------------------------------------------------------
We're delighted and proud to announce that two young people Valery Molay ([link removed][UNIQID]#valery-molay) from Dublin and Jack O’Connor ([link removed][UNIQID]#jack-oconnor) from Kilcolman, County Limerick will be addressing the 3rd Committee of the United Nations General Assembly in New York later today!
* Watch: You can watch them make their speeches live on [link removed][UNIQID] ([link removed][UNIQID])
* When: Between 17:30-18:15 Irish time.
* For confirmation of exact slot stay updated via Twitter: @UNYouthIRL ([link removed][UNIQID]) Instagram: un_youth_ireland ([link removed][UNIQID]) and Facebook: [link removed][UNIQID] ([link removed][UNIQID])
Their speeches will highlight issues around mental health, youth employment, climate action and the need for unity - ‘ní neart go cur le chéile’.
This amazing opportunity to represent the youth of Ireland during 'Third Committee' - one of the six main committees of the General Assembly, the UN committee dealing with human rights issues - is part of the UN Youth Delegate programme we run in partnership with Irish Aid and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The role also involves wide ranging consultation and engagement with young people by the delegates upon their return.
