Today is Election Day in Wisconsin, and we’re keeping our eyes on a few of our alums on the ballot.
|
|
Alums like Angela Cunningham who is running for Judge in Kenosha County, where national news was made for the police shooting a Black man in front of his children and the armed white nationalist violence and murders that came afterwards. If Angela wins, she will become the first Black judge EVER in Kenosha County.
|
|
Local races aren’t covered the same way that national campaigns are — but we know they are just as important. We are working to change the face of government at every level.
|
|
And with alums on the ballot in more than a dozen elections this spring, we can’t slow down.
|
|
We set a goal of raising $5000 before the polls close in Wisconsin tonight to ensure that our alums who are facing upcoming critical elections have the tools they need to win. John, can you make a contribution today?

We’re on the ground in communities across the country, training, recruiting, and supporting women leaders — and not just when Senate or White House control is up for grabs.
|
|
And to be honest, our fundraising has slowed down even though our alums are still running in critical races that will shape our country’s future. They are running to get rid of racist criminal justice policies, lead neighborhoods through pandemic recovery, and bring more equity and justice for all.

Ensuring we have the resources we need to support these women could not be more critical.
