Standing with Family Research Council

Dear John,

God's Word is continually rejected in our prevailing culture, and the radical Left is intent on shunning the Judeo-Christian principles upon which America was founded.

The gospel applies to all areas of life, even politics and public policy. But many American conservatives and Christians do not engage in our current political challenges because they think it won't make a difference or that it's a distraction from the work of the gospel.

This path of least resistance has led to disastrous consequences for our nation.

Some of these consequences are seen most clearly in our Supreme Court's decisions: from the 1973 decision in Roe v. Wade legalizing abortion, Obergefell v. Hodges constitutionalizing same-sex marriage, and the recent Bostock v. Clayton County decision that radically rewrote the Civil Rights Act to include gender identity and sexual orientation as protected classes.

Now we are faced with an anti-biblical worldview that is reinterpreting our Constitution and dismantling religious freedom. But the radical Left's agenda for America is just beginning and ramping up under the Biden-Harris administration.

I spent 36 years in the U.S. Army, serving with brave men and women on the battlefield. I know from experience what courage looks like, but now as Executive Vice President of Family Research Council, I call on you to stand courageously for biblical truth.

Will you resolve to stand up for faith, family, and freedom? Every gift you provide equips FRC to be your voice and engage the culture with a biblical worldview.

We have a great scriptural example of courage in Daniel, who dared to counter the surrounding culture when necessary. While in the service of the pagan King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, Daniel took a stand when he was offered food from the king's table. The Bible says, "But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine..." (Daniel 1:8 ESV).

Later, during the reign of King Darius the Mede, an edict was issued prohibiting prayer to any god or human being besides the king. But when Daniel heard about the decree, "he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before" (Daniel 6:10).

Daniel continued to pray to the one true God, even though the price of doing so was being thrown into the lion's den. It would have been easy for Daniel to follow the path of least resistance. But his resolve was to stand on his faith and convictions, his principles and values.

Christian influence and the gospel can change the trajectory of our society's direction, but we must engage at all levels to counter the culture. We need followers of Christ to resolve to stand firm and "dare to be a Daniel."

The Left is fully-funded to advance their agenda against you in your community. Your vital contribution will help FRC champion religious freedom in all public spheres like churches, schools, and state and local governments.

Will you give a generous tax-deductible gift to help us grow faith, family, and freedom?
