Lifesaving aid is ready to go. We need your help to send it where it’s needed most.
People like Clara, who was seriously hurt in last summer’s explosion in Beirut, will be grateful for your compassion. Clara remembers being at home with her mother and fiancé. Twenty minutes later, she woke up in the stairwell of her building — with no memory of how she got there.
“People were everywhere,” she recalled. “They were helping others, giving us bottles of water. I was so lost. So, so lost.”
Clara suffered head trauma, a broken nose, and a fractured spine. Her doctors told her that it was a miracle she wasn’t paralyzed.
Clara survived, but so many others in Beirut and Lebanon — which already were reeling from a financial crisis and the growing COVID-19 pandemic — still have not recovered from one of the largest non-nuclear explosions in history. Destroyed hospitals and clinics have not been rebuilt. Doctors and nurses are treating patients in parking lots. There is a shortage of medication, protective equipment and ventilators.
Your message of HOPE will uplift and encourage frontline health care workers in Lebanon and communities around the world. And your contribution will help provide people like Clara with the relief they need to survive.
Thank you for your time, your compassion and your generosity.
