NAFCU President
and CEO Dan Berger and NCUA Chairman Todd Harper Monday discussed credit union
concerns and priorities on a number of key issues, including the need for increased
capital flexibility during the coronavirus pandemic and various opportunities
for capital reform. NAFCU Executive Vice President and General Counsel Carrie
Hunt and Director of Regulatory Affairs Ann Kossachev also joined the meeting.
CFPB
attempts to preempt foreclosures with mortgage servicing changes
Following
the CFPB's warning last week to mortgage servicers, the bureau Monday proposed
mortgage servicing changes in an attempt to preempt an expected wave of foreclosures
once coronavirus relief provisions expire.

Vehicle
sales surge in March; NAFCU expects strong year ahead
Total vehicle
sales surged in March from 15.8 million annualized units to 17.8 million during
the month. Monthly sales levels were up a massive 56.2 percent year-over-year.
