John,
These days I’m looking a bit scruffier than usual. Like a lot of folks, the pandemic has worn me down. Don’t get me wrong, I still have more fire than ever to see us through this thing (although I must say, I might keep the bearded look).
We’re not yet through this pandemic, John, but with the new plans out of the Biden Administration, we have the tools to provide resources that communities need not only to fight this pandemic, but to continue to build back our infrastructure — revitalizing the American economy for years to come.
I’m committed to working hard for California’s 15th District — especially when it comes to getting vaccines in the arms of Californians. Our state, and especially the historically underserved communities of California, have been ravaged by the pandemic, and they need resources not only to make it through but to be stronger on the other side.
I’m also committed to curbing this nation’s gun violence epidemic. All too often, guns fall into the hands of the wrong individuals, inflicting lasting harm on communities everywhere. I’ve reintroduced the No Guns for Abusers Act, which protects domestic violence victims by making it easier to take guns away from their abusers. I also recently reached across the aisle to introduce the NICS Denial Notification Act, bipartisan legislation that makes it easier for federal and state authorities to apprehend individuals who purchase guns illegally.
Things really have changed since I ran for president — even since I helped lead the charge in Donald Trump’s second impeachment trial — but one thing has remained the same: I will do everything in my power to fight for this district.
I just have one question John, are you with me?
