This cannot be ignored, friend.
Ever since Donald Trump's loss in November, hundreds of bills have cropped up in the states aiming to make it harder on working families, people of color, and those with disabilities to vote.
In Texas, Governor Abbott and his cronies in the state Senate just cleared the way last week to pass SB7 -- a new sweeping restriction on voting in Texas. Their goal? Limit early voting hours, prohibit drive-thru voting, and make it ILLEGAL for local election offices to proactively mail applications to vote-by-mail to voters, even if they qualify...
I'm pledging to use my voice and energy to prevent SB7 from becoming law. I'm also supporting Jolt Action in Texas which is doing incredible work increasing civic participation among Texas Latinos -- one of the primary targets of SB7. Right now, Jolt Action is registering new voters and educating our communities about how to remain engaged in our political process despite these shameless attempts to marginalize their voices.
I spoke with leadership at the Jolt Action recently and was told that they are in need of resources as they adapt to the pandemic.
Friend, the work that Jolt is doing is needed now more than ever. I'm asking you to chip in a contribution of $3 -- or whatever you're comfortable with -- to help engage and activate Texas voters in the face of these Republican attacks on voting.

Texans have been ignored by our political process for too long. But we have been making incredible progress reclaiming our voices and power over the last few years. That's terrifying a status quo that has long considered Texas to be a Republican stronghold.
We are on the cusp of reshaping our political future, but it's critical that we continue our work registering new voters and engaging more Texans about why their voice matters -- on COVID relief, health equity, economic equality, and so much more.
Please join me in standing up to voter suppression in Texas by chipping in a VERY IMPACTFUL contribution of $3 -- or more to Jolt Action today.
