Hello,

After record voter turnout in the 2020 election sent a Democratic trifecta to Washington, Republicans have introduced more than 250 bills to restrict access to the ballot box in 43 states.

In Georgia, Governor Brian Kemp just signed one of the most horrendous anti-democratic bills in the country — implementing strict discriminatory ID requirements, limiting ballot drop boxes, shortening runoff elections, and even making it a crime to bring food and water to folks waiting in line to vote.

Stacey Abrams calls it “Jim Crow 2.0.”

The good news is, we can do something about it by passing the For the People Act in the Senate, which would implement a national standard for fair voting processes. But the bad news is, there’s something standing in the way: the filibuster.

Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans have abused the filibuster to halt progress that the majority of the American people want — without a vote or even a debate.

Well, folks, the people of Wisconsin didn’t send me to Washington to sit on the sidelines while Republicans attack our right to vote. I’m here to get things done. And if that means getting rid of the Senate filibuster to protect our sacred right to vote, then I’m all for that.

Will you add your name to my petition calling on the Senate to eliminate the filibuster? Access to the ballot box is on the line, this can’t wait any longer.

We must strengthen access to voting and prevent voter suppression from silencing our voices. I promise I won’t stop fighting until we get the job done.
