Thank you for making work like Muna's possible. [link removed]
John,
With World Health Day coming up this week, we wanted to share a story of the incredible impact you’re making right now on children’s health across the globe.
You empower lifesavers like Muna from Somalia. Tragically, severe drought has dramatically limited the country’s food and water supply, leaving families in desperate poverty. Many have been forced to flee their homes and now live in camps where resources are scarce and children are at an ever greater risk of deadly illnesses.
Thanks to you, Save the Children family health workers like Muna go door to door in the camps where we work, checking on the most vulnerable – new and expecting mothers, infants and young children. She diagnoses illnesses, provides medicine and teaches communities about measures they can take to keep their children healthy and nourished.
Grandmother Shuun is incredibly grateful for the lifesaving care Muna provided for her 3-year-old granddaughter. She says, “Muna really cares about the community and helps us a lot. Sometimes we don’t even know our children are malnourished, and she helps us. She treats illnesses in our homes so we don’t have to travel to the clinic.”
The COVID-19 pandemic has only increased the need for Save the Children family health workers like Muna. Thanks to support from compassionate people like you, they have been able to continue to do this lifesaving work around the world.
Thank you for making a difference. The change you’re creating will truly last a lifetime for vulnerable children around the world.
The pandemic continues to intensify the hardships of children already facing unimaginable difficulty, making your support more urgently needed than ever. Please, if you can, will you make a World Health Day donation today to help vulnerable children grow up healthy, educated and safe from harm? : [link removed]
