Voting rights. Civil rights protections. Gun violence prevention.
Universal health care. Climate change action. A $15 minimum wage. D.C.
statehood. And the list goes on...

Let’s face it: Winning a Democratic Senate majority was a historic
victory, but it isn’t enough to deliver on our most urgent progressive
priorities. Not when Republicans wield the filibuster as a way to stall us
at every turn.

And this isn’t about partisanship, or at least it shouldn’t be. The
filibuster is a relic of the Jim Crow era and it’s now being used to block
the policies that the American people elected us to pass. It’s
undemocratic, and it needs to go.
