With my friend Deb Haaland now leading the Department of the Interior, her congressional seat has been left open. Just a few days ago, New Mexico Democrats nominated Melanie Stansbury as our nominee to fill it.

The special election for New Mexico’s first congressional seat is coming up on June 1, which means Melanie doesn’t have a lot of time to build a winning campaign — and with election experts favoring Republicans to take back the House next year, she needs our immediate help to keep this seat blue and protect our slim majority.
