Action Alert

State Rep. Shelby Slawson filed HB 1515, the Texas Heartbeat Bill, along with the Senate companion SB 8 by Senator Bryan Hughes, to protect the lives of the unborn from the moment a heartbeat is detected. Texas must act this legislative session to protect innocent unborn life at the very moment a heartbeat is detected!

The pro-life Texas Heartbeat Bill, HB 1515, will be heard in the House Public Health Committee starting at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, April 7th in the John H. Reagan State Office Building at the Texas Capitol Complex in Austin.

Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick has designated the pro-life Heartbeat Bill as a priority bill, and it has already passed the Texas Senate. The committee will also be hearing other Texas Values Action supported pro-life bills, including HB 3218 by Representative Matt Schaefer  – the Preborn NonDiscrimination Act.

We need pro-life Texans to be prepared to testify at the Texas Capitol on Wednesday! Our team will provide you all the support that you need, including talking points and step-by-step instructions.

Please immediately contact us at [email protected] if you are interested or able to attend the hearing to testify
