Folks —

Georgia’s governor recently signed a harmful and restrictive voter suppression bill into law, making it harder for millions of Georgians to vote. Heck, this bill even makes it a crime to give food and water to folks who’ve been waiting in long poll lines.

What Republicans are doing here is discriminatory, anti-democratic, and quite frankly, it reeks of the Jim Crow era.

No doubt these voter suppression efforts are a direct response to the historic turnout we saw in this last election. Georgians came out in eye-popping numbers to send Democrats to the White House and the Senate.

The thing is, it’s not just Georgia. Republicans have introduced hundreds of voter suppression bills across the country. That’s why it’s critical that Congress pass the For The People Act which would expand voting rights, root out corruption, and get dark money out of our politics.

Sign my urgent petition demanding Congress pass the For the People Act to protect and expand voting rights and stop harmful bills like these from chipping away at the right to vote for millions of Americans.

Republicans will stop at nothing to restrict the right to vote and reclaim power in Washington. It’s on us to make sure they’re unsuccessful in their efforts.

Thank you, as always, for taking action.
