Dear John,

Building on the successes in Arizona and Georgia in 2020, we know that long-term community-based organizing, often led by people of color, is bedrock for our ability to build progressive power in state legislatures.

Through August, each of Sister District's twice-monthly State Bridges events will focus on one of our partner organizations doing year-round power-building work in key states!

Please join us to get to know and support these organizations & hear from their extraordinary leaders.

Upcoming Events:

  • April 7 -- New Virginia Majority with Tram Nguyen, Co-Executive Director
  • April 29 -- Texas Organizing Project with Michelle Tremillo, Executive Director; Brianna Brown, Deputy Director; and Crystal Zermeno, Electoral Strategy Director
  • May 19 -- Florida Rising with Andrea Mercado, co-Executive Director
  • June 1 -- Living United for Change in Arizona (LUCHA) with Tomas Robles and Alejandra Gomez, co-Executive Directors

Each of these organizations focus on year-round organizing directly in their communities, and all are located in critical states where we must build power over the next two years. Read more about our partners here!  We’ll be adding more on a rolling basis, so check back often.

With greater resources, our partner organizations on the ground can do more, which will lay the groundwork for our candidates to win on Election Day, and to build power in the long term.

In solidarity,

The Sister District Team
