Team — Georgia lawmakers just passed a new law that limits ballot drop boxes, puts burdensome ID requirements on absentee ballots, and even makes it a crime to give water to voters waiting in long lines.

This is voter suppression, plain and simple.

After losing big in November and again in January, Republicans are shifting their focus to a new strategy — preventing folks who won’t vote for them from voting at all.

The new law in Georgia is just one of over 260 voter suppression bills recently introduced in state legislatures across the country. These bills are based on Donald Trump’s false claims of voter fraud and are designed to silence the voices of legal voters, especially voters of color.

Fortunately, it’s not too late to undo the damage. Martin is working to pass the For the People Act, a landmark voting rights bill to guarantee easy and equitable access to the ballot for all eligible Americans. Sign on to help us build the pressure and turn the For the People Act into law:

As Congressman John Lewis said, “the vote is the most powerful nonviolent tool we have.” We can’t allow anyone to take that right away.

Thanks for speaking up,
