** Edmonds City Council Position #3 - Candidate

When I was elected in 2015, I ran to bring our city together. People are saying, “It’s time to bring back sensible leadership.” AND that’s why I’m running, to help lead our city’s recovery.

Family

My wife Margaret and I, along with our four children, have lived in the Seaview neighborhood for over 20 years. Margaret teaches for the Edmonds School District. We have enjoyed the benefits of raising our family in Edmonds and want to give back to the community that has meant so much to us.

Experience

When I worked on the Council, I chaired the Parks and Public Works Committee. These two elements require our largest financial commitments AND have the greatest potential for equitably serving every household.

Priorities:

1) Assuring access to city services to help Edmonds recover from the Pandemic. These include: Recreation, Business and Mental Health.

2) Addressing life stage related issues with citizens; Including: aging in place and access to diverse activities.

3) Improving infrastructure that equitably serves all people and protects our environment.

Politics

I am a lifelong independent running for a non-partisan position. I only have one special interest, Edmonds.
