‌John -- The New Yorker just published a bombshell report about a meeting between staff from Mitch McConnell's office and "several prominent conservative groups -- including one run by the Koch brothers' network" to discuss how they can stop the momentum of the democracy-saving For the People Act .

Here's the kicker:

"The participants conceded that the bill, which would stem the flow of dark money from [political donors], was so popular that it wasn’t worth trying to mount a public-advocacy campaign to shift opinion . Instead, a senior Koch operative said that opponents would be better off ignoring the will of American voters and trying to kill the bill in Congress."

Get it? They're planning to ignore the American people once again, and they're planning to use tools like the Senate filibuster to do it!

We have to fight back, John. The NDRC has launched a MASSIVE campaign to pass the For the People Act. Will you help us fund it by donating to our Rapid Response Fund?

It's no wonder Republicans like Mitch McConnell are terrified of the For the People Act (and lying when they say voters don't want it). This legislation would take away the tools they use to hang on to power that they didn't earn:

1. It would prohibit partisan gerrymandering of congressional districts and level the playing field in elections.
2. It would prevent many of the voter suppression bills Republicans keep trying to push to shrink the electorate.
3. It would cut off the unlimited flow of dark money to politicians – something McConnell is especially worried about!

Republicans know all of these provisions are POPULAR, which is why instead of trying to win over the public they're planning to IGNORE the public and kill the bill "under the [Capitol] dome."
