I am a mother, educator, small business owner, and community leader who has worked across party lines and brought people together to make real change.

Growing up as the daughter of a teacher and pastor, my parents instilled in me that being a Christian meant fighting for social justice. Those values have guided my life and are why I founded Faith in Texas, a nonprofit that brings faith communities together to work for change in their schools, cities, and state. I want my son to grow up in a world where all Texans have a fair shot, quality public schools, affordable health care, and good, safe jobs. That’s what I will fight for every day in Congress.

This year’s historic winter’s storm showed us just how unequipped Texans are to face the climate crisis. Our infrastructure is crumbling. And our leaders have no plans to protect future generations from further disasters with a more sustainable economy.
