Carers across the capital celebrated the unique role they play in the lives of millions of Londoners at a landmark new event.
The first ever London-wide Carer Festival, organised by the London Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (LondonADASS) and supported by London local authorities, voluntary groups and volunteers, took place on Saturday 21 September.
The festival was hosted by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets at Bromley-by-Bow Centre and Bob’s Park in east London.
Designed to champion the work they do in an uplifting and inspiring way, around 500 carers from every London borough and their loved ones were invited to join in the fun.
