John -- We've heard a lot of baloney from Mitch McConnell, but his rationale for opposing the For the People Act will have you sputtering:

It sounds like a joke, right? Unfortunately the situation is very serious. Lawmakers have introduced more than 350 voter suppression bills in the states. Georgia's Republican governor just signed a bill that would, among other things, prohibit groups from offering food and water to people waiting in line to vote. And two voter restriction cases from Arizona are currently in front of the Supreme Court.

McConnell is lying. He's petrified that the For the People Act will become law and his party will have to compete on a level playing field. So he and his allies and donors (including the Koch network) are doing everything they can to block it.

We have to be stronger. We have to keep pushing to get this bill over the finish line. Can we count on your help, John?
