It’s quite simple, folks —

We should be making it easier — not harder — for folks to make their voices heard at the ballot box.

But right now, there are over 250 bills making their way through 43 states that would severely restrict the right to vote. Here in Montana, the GOP-controlled state legislature is trying to eliminate same-day voter registration.

And in Georgia, the governor just signed an egregious voter suppression bill that requires strict voter IDs, limits ballot drop boxes, and even makes it a crime to give food and water to folks waiting in line to vote.

Seriously?!

Just after historic voter turnout in 2020, Republicans are clearly trying to game the system and suppress access to the ballot box — including for younger people and Native American communities— to win future elections. It’s outrageous.

Congress must pass the For the People Act to protect the integrity of our elections, expand the right to vote, and stop partisan bills like these from taking hold in our state legislatures.

If you agree, sign my urgent petition now demanding the Senate pass the For the People Act as soon as possible. We don’t have time to delay. [[link removed]]

Making voting more accessible for everyone regardless of who they support strengthens our country and democracy. We cannot let Republicans get away with undermining this fundamental right.

Thanks,

Jon
