Sean Perryman: 5 things to know about me

Friend,
Our movement has grown a lot over the past few months. Since the hustle and bustle of last quarter’s fundraising deadline has passed, I’m taking the time to remind everybody who I am and what I stand for—whether you’ve been here from the start or if you’ve just learned about my campaign to transform Virginia.
Here’s five things you should know about me:
I come from the Black working class. My father was an immigrant from Barbados, my mother was born in the segregated south, and I was the first in my family to go to college.
I stick to my principles, even if it leads to sacrifice. When my law firm told me I had to represent Donald Trump, I quit my job in protest and went to work for Elijah Cummings on the House Oversight Committee instead.
I’ve fought for change and won in my community. As the youngest-ever President of the largest NAACP chapter in Virginia, I quadrupled our paid membership and successfully delivered on racial justice.
I back up my rhetoric with real solutions. I’ve put forward the most progressive platform in the race and proposed bold ideas where others offer only talk. Our ideas are both transformational and popular with a majority of voters.
I’m ready to build a better future for Virginia. I’m proud to be a Virginian—that’s why I chose to raise my six-year-old daughter, Ava, here. I’m running for Lt. Governor to make her future as bright as it can be.
If you’re excited about bringing this kind of leadership and vision to Virginia, chip in what you can and help us stay on track for victory:

I’m glad to have you on this journey. We’re in this fight together, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
In solidarity,
Sean Perryman
