This week in Bessemer, Alabama, counting begins for Amazon workers who voted on unionizing their warehouse, where if they are one minute late to work, an entire hour of pay is deducted from their paycheck.
In a speech to the workers, Killer Mike said it best:
“Absolutely you should vote yes for that union. Because what the union does, it allows you an organized seat at the table. It allows you to plot, plan, strategize, organize, and mobilize.”
Over 3,500 Six PAC supporters have demanded their Senators pass the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act, a landmark bill that stops union-busting employers, like Amazon, from intimidating and retaliating against unionizing workers.
Will you join them? SIGN ON: Tell your Senators to pass the PRO Act and protect workers rights!
Protecting the right to organize through unions benefits all workers, raising wages and standards even for non-union employees.
Greedy corporations like Amazon clearly aren’t looking out for their employees best interest and wellbeing. And this is exactly why we need to protect the workers' right to organize.
The House has already passed the PRO Act, now we need to make sure the Senate does too.
All workers should have the right to organize without intimidation. Tell the Senate: Pass the PRO Act now!
Thanks for standing up for workers today.
