Hello John,
Did you see Max’s email? I wanted to make absolutely certain you didn’t miss it, because right now the National Committee needs your help to take advantage of the incredible opportunity we now have to pass legislation in Congress that would protect and strengthen Social Security. And we need President Biden to take a strong stand for boosting benefits! So, if you haven’t yet signed our urgent Petition to President Biden please take a moment to do it now.
Please also consider making a donation in whatever amount you can afford to help bolster our crucial work on your behalf to strengthen Social Security and protect seniors’ ability to afford their prescription drugs, housing expenses and other basic needs.

Dear John,
Right now, members of Congress and President Biden are coming under renewed pressure by economists, conservative think tanks and so-called “deficit hawks” to rein in soaring budget deficits. Yet, the mounting debt was created not by Social Security and Medicare but by spending on other priorities:
Unpaid for tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires … more economic federal bailouts … and an economy damaged by the coronavirus pandemic.
So you can be sure many politicians are eager to reconsider our government’s financial commitment to Social Security and Medicare … because that’s where the money is.
That’s why I need you to sign our Petition to President Biden and remind him that older Americans will not accept any cuts to our earned benefits. Instead, we need him to back vital improvements to Social Security and Medicare without delay!
As you know, President Biden campaigned on restoring bipartisanship in Washington. But I’m deeply concerned that his efforts to find compromise could end up undermining our hard-fought battles to protect Social Security and Medicare from devastating cuts and radical reforms.
We cannot afford to sit back and hope for the best — especially when Big Pharma, Wall Street CEOs and huge insurance companies are clamoring to force earned benefits onto the chopping block in Washington.
We must fight to advance our important agenda to protect and strengthen earned benefits. So please ensure your voice is heard in this critical debate and join with your fellow Americans by signing our Petition today! Our goal is to collect OVERWHELMING NUMBERS of signatures from workers and retirees nationwide that simply cannot be ignored by President Biden.
Sincerely,
|
