In the 3 days since the news of Rep. Matt Gaetz’s sex trafficking accusations surfaced, the story has only become more bizarre, disgusting, and deeply infuriating.

There are now reports that Gaetz paid for sex using CashApp, flaunted nude photos of sexual partners to other Members of Congress on the House floor, and solicited sex with a minor – all while in office.

Tuesday evening, Gaetz went on Tucker Carlson to defend himself, and the results were confounding for Tucker, nauseating for viewers, and damning for Gaetz. Gaetz himself announced he was under investigation for “child prostitution,” made erroneous and unintelligible extortion claims, and has now refused to step down even as his long-time staff are resigning.
