We are very proud to announce our first PCCC Champions of the cycle --
progressive candidates for state and local offices running great campaigns
powered by the grassroots, not corporate interests.

hundreds more like them running for school board, city council, mayor, and
state legislatures across the country?

Local elected officials have an enormous impact on our lives, addressing
issues from policing and criminal justice, to local school and health
policy, to road and bridge maintenance, housing policy, jobs, and much
more.

Here are some very brief intros to our first progressive PCCC Champions of
the cycle:

Cammy Watkins is a community leader running for city council in Omaha,
Nebraska to provide public wi-fi, fight for affordable housing, and combat
food insecurity. The primary election is TUESDAY!!! [ [link removed] ]Donate to help

John Laesch is a veteran, union carpenter, and climate activist running
for Mayor of Aurora, IL. He wants to bring the city to 100% renewable

Jalen McKee-Rodriguez is a high school math teacher and community
organizer running for city council in San Antonio, Texas to promote
racial, economic, and environmental justice for the city. This general

Janneke Parrish is a community activist running for city council in Round
Rock, Texas on a vision of a more sustainable, equitable, and inclusive
community, and improving the city’s transportation infrastructure and
access to social services in the LGBTQ community. This general election is

Christine Clarke is an environmental advocate, mother of four, and 2019
PCCC Champion running for the New Jersey State Senate to invest in green
industries and expand access to healthcare. She is taking on one of the

Caren Fitzpatrick is an Atlantic County Commissioner in NJ running for the
New Jersey General Assembly to promote green energy, combat Black infant

Kristen Runge is an accountant and auditor running for Tax Collector in
Springfield Township, PA to promote transparency and build an online

Lisa Smith is an active community member running for city council in
Arvada, Colorado to improve the transportation system, promote equitable
community development, and make sure vulnerable populations can access the

Kate Delany is a writer, professor, and educational leader running for
Board of Commissioners in Collingswood, NJ to promote good governance,
