Before winning the landmark Brown v. Board of Education case and serving as a Supreme Court Justice, Thurgood Marshall was as a key strategist in the effort to end racial segregation. He argued and won Sweat v. Painter (1950) and McLaurin v. Oklahoma Board of Regents of Higher Education (1950).

We’re integrating our expertise with our allies Law for Black Lives and the Thurgood Marshall Civil Rights Center at Howard University School of Law.
