Hello Ajax PPC Members!
So, we are heading into week #3 and things are going pretty good!
As mentioned earlier, Susanna attended an all candidates event sponsored by the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade and as I am sure you already know, she did great!. This is the second panel interview that we have been to, and we can report two distinct trends so far.
The first is that these events have not been Liberal friendly, in fact I would suggest both have been quite the opposite. While there has been no heckling or other forms of rude behaviour, the facial expressions of the crowd speaks volumes. So much so, that the Liberal candidates in both Ajax and Pickering (and Durham) were quickly reduced to talking points as they really had nothing to offer. Also, in both events while the candidates spent time talking to constituents afterwards, the Liberals made a hasty exit! These events were 100% PPC friendly!
The second is just how far removed from reality the NDP and Greens are. All they can seem to talk about is political correctness, being inclusive, gender identity and their prediction that the Earth will be on fire in 12 years. It was really quite amazing to witness these candidates trying to convey these policies while also trying to convince the audience that they were good - truly astounding!
We have also had a busy week, putting out signs in the main traffic corridors. Some may think there is not enough coverage, but we are limited by the bi-laws of Ajax - they are quite strict and seem to be enforced quickly. A number of signs from the establishment parties have been taken down already, and the cost to get them back is significant if we don't comply with the bi-laws. On another note, the bi-law officer we spoke with when reviewing the process was pretty awesome. He is probably a PPC supporter! We have also put up some of the larger road signs on peoples property - they look pretty good!
We will be putting together some media in the coming days, where we will be showcasing Susanna. This media will be podcast in nature where we will be talking about the election, the news of the day and other things of interest. If there is something you'd like her to be asked, please let us know and we will work the question into the show.
We continue to meet at our usual place at Mackenzie Pub 250 Bayly St. W, Ajax. on Thursday's at 7pm and we welcome all supporters/members to come and say hello. This is also a good opportunity for anyone interested in volunteering to come and introduce yourself.
The election draws closer every day and the focus of this meeting is reaching as many doors and people as we can. We need our members help to WIN Ajax!
See you soon, |
