Washington Post: What you should know about the USPS — and how it descended into crisis

“The U.S. Postal Service already is recording some of its worst performance metrics in generations. Cost-cutting measures the postal chief implemented over the summer have been blamed for much of those declines.”

John, you and I know exactly who is to blame for the USPS falling into disarray – Louis DeJoy, the GOP mega-donor Donald Trump appointed Postmaster General.

Should Postmaster General Louis DeJoy be replaced?

YES
NO
John, the United States Postal Service needs your help.

Even with Trump out of the White House, we continue to suffer from his decisions, appointments, and disastrous legacy.

One of the most troublesome remnants of the Trump administration is Louis DeJoy, the Postmaster General Trump appointed. His bad faith policy changes have slowed down mail delivery, raised prices, and undermined the USPS’ most basic services.

Joe Biden is doing everything he can to get rid of DeJoy and fix the USPS: he’s already announced three nominees to fill vacancies on the Board of Governors who, if confirmed, would have the power to replace the Postmaster General and put a stop to widespread delays in mail delivery.

We can’t afford to lose a vital institution like the Postal Service – especially not now. American families – especially those in rural areas – depend on the USPS. That’s why we need 25,000 grassroots Democrats to speak out before it’s too late – including you, John.

This is more crucial than ever, John. Democrats are ready to act, but they need to know where you stand:

Should Postmaster General Louis DeJoy be replaced?
