Hi John,

Just last week, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp signed a voter suppression law to help himself defeat voting rights champion Stacey Abrams in 2022.

That's what happens when a Black progressive organizer uses her power to turnout a record number of voters, flip her state blue, and unite Democrats nationwide: Republicans bend the rules to make sure she doesn't get to do it again.

Abrams isn't one to back away from a challenge, especially not one she knows she can win. She has made it clear to the GOP that she will be “focusing on our democracy” this cycle, and we plan to have her back.

When Abrams decides to run to unseat Brian Kemp and become the first Black woman governor in our country, we want her to know she will have your support and our resources to win.

But it's not just Abrams, John. Women, especially Black and Brown women, have purposefully been kept out of elected offices across the country. And when they have taken steps to move up, Republicans have done everything in their power to tear them down. It's no coincidence that progressive powerhouses like Stacey Abrams, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Elizabeth Warren, and Kamala Harris are the GOP's top targets. Republicans feel threatened by women in power.

From turning out the vote to protecting working families, progressive women consistently deliver us victories. That's why we're launching our Elect Bold Women Fund -- and why we want you to be the first to know.

Our plan is to support Abrams and women leaders like her, who are fighting for change but don't have the resources to stand against the GOP's dark money machine. We'll fund progressive women's campaigns, help them reach voters, and meet the Republican's dirty voter suppression tactics with grassroots activism.

We know we have an ambitious plan and an even bigger goal -- we need to raise $10,000 within the next 24 hours to hit the ground running. But we also know we have a powerful grassroots network of people like you on our side, and that hasn't failed us yet.

Please, if you believe we need more progressive women like Stacey Abrams in power, if you want to make sure that Republicans don't continue blocking the people's call for change, if you want your government to truly represent the people it serves, then we need you on our side. Will you make an inaugural contribution to our Elect Bold Women Fund to help us be the difference? >> [link removed]
