Tell the Federal Government:
"The National Institute of Standards and Technology wants to prevent the government from fighting back against Big Pharma price gouging on taxpayer funded medicines and advancements. This is unconscionable, and I oppose this proposal."

John,
Donald Trump is no longer president, but we are still dealing with the aftermath of many of his horrific policies. On their way out the door, Trump administration officials introduced a proposal to undo a law that protects the American people from Big Pharma price gouging.
We need to act quickly. We have only until Monday at midnight (Eastern time) to fight back against this Trump-era regulation that would put Big Pharma’s profits ahead of our rights.
Join CHN and our growing national coalition. Submit an official comment to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to oppose this rule change and demand an end to Big Pharma's price gouging on medicines that were funded by U.S. taxpayers. The Administration has to take into account the comments it receives; if you can add a sentence about why you care about drug price gouging, it will help even more.
NIST wants to eliminate the government’s ability to step in when a corporation charges an unreasonable price for a taxpayer-funded invention, such as a vaccine or prescription drug.
It’s particularly outrageous to undo consumer protections in the midst of a pandemic that has already infected more than 30 million Americans, leading to the death of 550,000 people throughout our country.
The federal government has spent countless taxpayer dollars creating vaccines and treatments to keep us safe. When our tax dollars pay for medical advancements, we should have access to those treatments at an affordable price.
Time is running out to tell the Biden administration to reject this last-minute Trump handout to Big Pharma. Click here to submit an official comment to the NIST to make sure Big Pharma is not able to price gouge on publicly funded medicines.
Thank you for all you do to fight for our rights in the face of massive corporate greed.
Thank you,
Deborah Weinstein Executive Director, Coalition on Human Needs
