Indivisibles,
We’re halfway through Recovery Recess (March 29 - April 11) and we’re just
getting started. Indivisibles like you have been pushing your members of
Congress all week to support a bold, inclusive recovery package -- [ [link removed] ]the
THRIVE agenda -- and reforms that will strengthen our democracy. You’ve
been making calls and attending events (whether online or in-person), but
we can’t let up now.
The next few days are critical. [ [link removed] ]Biden’s Build Back Better Plan is a
great start to recovery but the investment isn’t bold enough. If we want
to influence the size of the recovery plan we’ve got to act fast -- the
House will begin working on this the moment they're back from recess in
order to pass it by July 4. We have to keep making calls until every
member of Congress is on board with the THRIVE agenda and is committed to
a fast passage of the recovery bill -- that means calling every day until
they commit to making a progressive investment in our democracy and our
future.
[ [link removed] ]Call your representative
There’s too much on the line, and too many struggling families across the
nation who have been impacted by COVID-19 and the intersecting crises of
catastrophic climate change, public health disparities, and income
inequality. [ [link removed] ]Call your representatives and then [ [link removed] ]call your senators to
ask them to support our March and April recess asks. This opportunity to
reach out to your members of Congress while they’re back in your district
is fleeting, but we can still make a big impact if we act now.
Make a plan to call every day until recess ends. Then, [ [link removed] ]sign up to
attend an event on this joint partner event map for Recovery Recess here!
And be sure to share this [ [link removed] ]quick explainer video on the THRIVE Agenda
with your friends and family -- we need everyone to pitch in to make this
recovery as inclusive and transformational as possible.
In solidarity,
Indivisible Team
